Pastor Bill spent his early years growing up in Pennsylvania, where his father was a Wesleyan pastor. There at a camp at the age of 12, he gave his heart to the Lord. The family moved to Michigan just before his Junior year of High School.

While a student at Indiana Wesleyan University, Pastor Bill responded to God's call to full-time ministry and graduated with a bachelor's degree in theology.

After traveling for a year with a Christian singing group, he entered into five years of youth ministry and one year of church planting while completing a Master of Ministry degree at Anderson University in Anderson, Indiana.

Pastor Bill met Donna while he was on staff at United Wesleyan College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. She was a student there and felt God would have her be a wife in ministry. Bill and Donna were married October 16, 1982.

In 1983 Bill and Donna began pastoral ministry together and served churches in Detroit and Grand Rapids, Michigan. In 1993 Pastor Bill was called to be Linwood's Senior Pastor.

Pastor Bill and Donna are the parents of two children, Andrew (1987) and Kendra (1991).
